Dubai’s property sector continues to show remarkable resilience
In 2024, Dubai recorded more than 180,000 residential transactions, emerging as a record breaking year.
Over 48,000 transactions were recorded in Q4 2024, marking a 46% increase compared to Q4 2023. This growth was primarily driven by a nearly 72% YoY increase in off-plan transactions, as new sales launches continued to sustain strong momentum.
This growth, coupled with Dubai’s increasing interest in African markets and its position as a gateway between Africa and Asia, presents unique opportunities for knowledge transfer and commercial partnerships.
African developers can gain invaluable insights from Dubai’s experience in areas such as, master-planned community development, sustainable urbanisation, property technology integration, innovative financing structures, smart city implementation and luxury and affordable housing balance.
